Privacy Policy

UpAgents (upagents.app) builds AI agents that each do one job. Each agent is a small app you can try, reserve before launch, or subscribe to. Questions about your data: hello@upagents.app.

• Your account: your email address and name. If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address and profile picture (the openid, email and profile scopes only). If you sign in with an email link, we get only your email. Asking for an agent's launch email without signing in creates the same record with only your email.
• Your agent records: for each agent you use, reserve or ask about, when you first used it, how many runs you made, whether you asked to be emailed when it launches, and a short summary (up to 200 characters) and category of what you used it for, sent by that agent's app. Your files and inputs are not included; they stay in the agent's app.
• Payments: from Whop we receive your membership status, the product and plan you bought, renewal dates and the email you used at checkout. We never see your card details.
• Email choices: whether you opted in to our newsletter, when, where, and the exact wording you agreed to; and any opt-out.
• Sign-in data: session records with your IP address and browser (user agent), kept while the session is valid.
• Credits: your balance and its history (purchases, what each agent run used, refunds, invite rewards), who invited you and whom you invited. To keep free previews and invite rewards to one per person, we keep a one-way hash of your email address per agent you tried, and the network range of your IP address (the first three parts only) and a random device id the agent sends. The hash stays after you delete your account so free previews can't be claimed twice; the network range and device id are removed.

Free tools process your files in your browser. The files are not uploaded to us.

• To sign you in, and to let each agent's app know you are signed in and what you have unlocked.
• To send transactional email: sign-in links, receipts for reservations and purchases, and a one-time “your agent is ready” email when an agent you reserved launches.
• To send the emails you asked for: the new-agents newsletter (only if you opted in) and the launch email of an agent you asked to be notified about. Every one has a one-click unsubscribe link.
• To suggest other agents you might like (see section 5).
• To count sign-ups, reservations, runs and payments per agent, which decides which agents we keep building.

• Our own server: your account and agent records live in a Postgres database on a server we rent and run ourselves.
• Google confirms who you are if you choose “Continue with Google”.
• Whop handles payments, reservations, subscriptions and refunds.
• Resend delivers our email (sign-in links, receipts and the newsletters below). If you signed up before accounts existed, or asked about an agent while our database was briefly unavailable, Resend may also hold your email address as a contact.
• Listmonk, a newsletter tool we host ourselves, holds the mailing lists: your email, name, and which agents you used, asked about, reserved or paid for, with their categories. It never gets your use summaries.
• OpenRouter passes your agent records to an AI model to pick suggestions (section 5), with the setting that tells providers not to store or train on the data.
• Umami (hosted by us) and Ahrefs Web Analytics count page visits.
• PostHog (PostHog Cloud, US) shows us how people use the site so we can fix what gets in the way: page visits, clicks and, if you accept cookies, session recordings with everything you type hidden. When you start a checkout or buy a credit pack, it records the pack and amount against your account id (never your email).
• Cloudflare runs our DNS and proxies site traffic, so it sees IP addresses.
• Discord: we post short internal notices to a private channel (for example, a new sign-up's email address and the agent they asked about).

We do not sell your data or share it for anyone else's marketing.

When we have enough live agents, an AI model suggests other agents based on your agent records, including the short summaries. We show you the agent's own catalog description, never text written by the model. Turn suggestions off with “Show me agent suggestions” on your account page.

We set the cookies needed to sign you in, and analytics cookies only if you accept them. None is used for advertising.

• Session cookie (better-auth.session_token): keeps you signed in, shared across upagents.app and its agent subdomains so one sign-in works everywhere. It lasts up to 30 days and is renewed while you use the site; signing out or deleting your account ends it.
• Sign-in link cookie (ua_magic_link): holds the one-time token from an emailed sign-in link between opening the link and pressing “Sign in”, so the token never stays in the address bar. It expires after 15 minutes.
• Sign-up choice cookie (ua_signup_optin): remembers whether you ticked the email box while you finish signing in. It expires after 30 minutes.
• Google sign-in state cookie (better-auth.state): protects the round trip to Google when you choose “Continue with Google”. It expires after 5 minutes.

Analytics cookies (ph_*_posthog, and the choice itself in __ph_opt_in_out_*): set by PostHog only after you press “Accept” on the cookie bar, shared across upagents.app and its agent subdomains, and kept for up to a year. They let us see a visit as one journey and record sessions with every typed field hidden. If you press “No thanks” or don't choose, PostHog counts page visits without cookies and records nothing. To change your mind, clear this site's cookies and the bar shows again.

Umami and Ahrefs Web Analytics count visits to our pages without cookies. Whop may set the cookies it needs during checkout.

We keep your account and agent records until you delete your account. Emails from our earlier pre-launch sign-up list that we moved into accounts are kept with no marketing consent and receive nothing unless that person opts in. Whop keeps its own billing records as the law requires.

• Change your newsletter and suggestion settings on your account page at any time, or unsubscribe from any email with its link.
• Delete your account on your account page (“Delete my account”). It deletes your account, your agent records and your email preferences, removes you from our mailing lists, and deletes your contact at Resend. Reservations you have not been charged for yet are canceled at Whop. Whop keeps your billing history. While you have a paid Whop subscription, cancel it on Whop first, because we don't delete an account that is still being billed.
• Ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion by emailing hello@upagents.app.

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update this page and the date above, and email account holders about material changes.
